church planting residency
The Saturate Movement Church Planting Residency at The Chapel is the primary vehicle for preparing men to plant churches in the Chapel family of churches. The Saturate Movement Church Planting Residency is a 12- to 18-month residency program that hones the skills, knowledge and character of the church planter in a specific context to prepare him to plant and grow a campus in northeast Ohio.
- Acceptance into the residency is not a guarantee to be sent as a church planter with The Chapel as there will be multiple layers of assessment to determine progress.
- Each resident will receive a customized residency experience while based at one of the five Chapel campuses in Akron, Green, Wadsworth, Kenmore and Cuyahoga Falls, OH. He will report to the lead pastor of that campus to fulfill the ministry experience component of residency (pastoral care, preaching/teaching, etc).
- Concurrently, the resident will work closely with the Director of New Campus Development on the nuts and bolts phase of his church plant (i.e. learning and developing a strategic plan for the church plant, exegeting the community, building a core team, building towards launch, etc.).
